This two-storey house 2x (10 x 7 mtrs) was completely restored in '95 / '98. Patio: 250 m2.

All walls consist of granite rock, about 80 cm thick. All infra-structures. It contains two bedrooms; one large with double bed and one smaller with a single bed and moreover a sofa in the living room, 2 fully equiped bathrooms, an open -fully equiped- kitchen, tiled floor and storage space plus living room with open fireplace. ( T.V. set, refrigerator, vacuum cleaner, micro-wave, coffee-machine, electric and outdoor grill, washing machine)

The nearest village Sernancelhe  is at 3 km. It has an historic centre as well as a modern supermercado.

It is situated between the famous natural  parque "Serra da Estrella" (City: Viseu) in the south and the beautiful city of "Lamego" (Porto-wines region) in the north. Both at about a distance of 50 km. There's a fine café-restaurant at 400 mtrs. (= next door neighbours). In summertime one could obtain ecological vegetables at the neighbours-agricultures at 500 mtrs distance.

Terrain: 3,3 acres; of which 300 meters along the river Távora (Fishing permitted). The terrain is grown by oaks, chestnuts and pinetrees, as well apt for camping. At 25 min drive one can visit the famous paleolithic drawings of Foz Coa .

River: supplied by rain & wells; keeps flowing all year through; cascading along the terrain. Behind the mill there´s a small lake, apt for swimming. (Dependant on rainfall: 100 x 20 mtrs- see picture).

Acces: 300 mtrs of scarped (50 m.) dirt road. From there: 3 km to the village of Sernancelhe (photo's), about 3 km to a large lake with beaches and swimm possibilities. (There is a café where one can rent boates and taste the local "petiscos" .In the weekends untill midnight: Freixinho e Faia).

Nearest beach: praia de Barra near Aveiro at about 1 hour drive.

  OPORTO : 2 hrs. drive.     VISEU : 40 min.  LAMEGO - REGUA: 40 min. .  FOZ COA (Unesco World Heritage) : 35 min. Serra da Estrela: 35 min.

PRICES (per 15 days; all costs included) N.B. From saturdays untill saturdays. (Exceptionally the house can also be rented for one week)

Note: arrival time between 14.30 and 17 30 p.m.

The site is not advised for children under 6 years old.
